Magic Kingdom Area Hotels
If you like fancy things, there is a good chance you will want to stay at a resort in this area. The MK resort area has a high concentration of deluxe resorts, including the Grand Floridian which is often the most expensive Disney World resort. The monorail connects three of the main resorts; Polynesian, Contemporary, and Grand Floridian. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness are also only a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom. Fort Wilderness is the exception from all of these hotels in that it is not a deluxe resort – it is a campground with a very different feel from the other more upscale MK area resorts. It is also worth noting that some of our favorite Disney food and bars, including Trader Sam’s, are found within the MK area resorts (all adults, regardless of if you drink alcohol or not, should pop into this bar at least once to see the theming).
