Disney Hotels

When planning for Disney World, the resorts can be easily overlooked as an important decision. In our opinion, that is a big mistake. While certain things are important to consider, like the budget that works for you, there are many other aspects that go into choosing a resort that can greatly impact you trip. Disney World has over 30 on-property resorts (depending on how you count them – for example, Jambo House vs. Kidani Village) and given all of the different aspects of choosing, it can be quite an undertaking. Lucky for you, we have been on all of the properties and have stayed at almost all of the Disney World resorts. We will provide posts of the pros and cons as well as our recommendations – of course giving extra attention to important aspects for adult Disney visitors.

If you choose to not stay at a Disney resort (which we wouldn’t recommend), we still strongly recommend visiting at least some of the resorts. Why? Because many of the best Disney World restaurants and bars can be found at the Disney resorts. Similarly, if you are staying at a Disney resort, we strongly recommend visiting other resort properties while you are there. When at Disney, we often visit several Disney World resorts, even if we just head down to Disney for a weekend. Some of our favorite bar-hopping routes and date night suggestions can be completed without ever going into a Disney World park.
